Catching Up in Ireland

[11:47:31 AM] Katie Symington: My friend and her boyfriend broke up yesterday and so my quiet evening plans were superseded by friend duties, mainly involving getting her drunk and then going out to barcode and dancing.

[11:51:19 AM] Troy Symington: I'm doing good. Alec and I went on a tour to see the Cliffs of Moher and Burren today! It was pretty cool! (although tour buses aren't my prefered method of sightseeing).

[11:53:33 AM] Troy Symington: Hrrrrmmm.... we've seen a lot of cool stuff. But I think my favorite is just the countryside and landscapes.

[11:57:07 AM] Troy Symington: Oh yes. It's the stereotypical Ireland. There's rolling green hills with herds of sheep and cows and lots and lots of stone walls everywhere.

[12:00:04 PM] Troy Symington: Very nice and helpful, actually! Very different from Italy.

[12:02:03 PM] Troy Symington: Italians are too proud and hate tourists. The Irish don't. It might just be the alcohol, but they're just happier people!

[12:04:18 PM] Troy Symington: Yeah, they actually do! All of the ones that we've talked to are always talking about drinking, and several of them have told us that they usually skip meals becuase they get calories from beer!

[12:06:09 PM] Troy Symington: Some of them. They really do like their Guinness over here. They also really like this dark ale called Smithwicks which is pretty good.
[12:06:39 PM] Katie Symington: So in terms of comparing Americans to Italians to the Irish, which country is the most overweight? Which country has the nicest people? Which country do you want to spend more time in?
[12:07:52 PM] Troy Symington: Americans are the most overweight (which I don't understand because the Irish eat all this really heavy food and drink all of the time), and the Irish are probably the nicest. I want to spend more time in all of them!
