It's so weird that we only have like 2 weeks left!

[8:55:58 AM] Troy Symington: They weren't really. But the Italians do not eat very much mexican food at all, and they DO NOT eat spicy food. It's nearly impossible to find the ingredients in the stores. Gabe got some tortillas to make fajitas last week, and they were THE WORST tortillas I have ever had the displeasure of tasting!

But when I do actually get it from a bar (cafe) I'll either get expresso, a cappuccino, or a cafe latte. They're always really good no matter what bar I get them from, but they're always really small cups!
[9:02:45 AM] Katie Symington: I know espresso is supposed to be small, but the others are too? Lame! Is it as good as the cafe con leche de Costa Rica?
[9:04:33 AM] Troy Symington: Yeah, the cappuccinos and cafe lattes are actually kinda similar to that, but yeah, always really small cups. Expresso is litterally one small gulp and you're done.

[9:09:44 AM] Troy Symington: Weeeeell, we wen't into the Siena Duomo. It wasn't particularly big but it was really intricate and had some really cool art. Then we climed up the Mangia tower which was in the main squarea and had an AMAZING veiw of the city. The rest of our time was just exploring and enjoying the city!

But when we do, it's normally every day to every other in the gym doing weight lifting and treadmill running, a mile to 1.5 at a time, and climbing the stairmaster for a mile. We bike around--I biked 9 miles on Monday going back and forth from school and 3 on Wed, but nothing yesterday because of work and I was tired. We ran 3 miles (.5 of one we walked) and Nick is pushing me to work on speed as well as endurance, agh. ;)

But when we do, it's normally every day to every other in the gym doing weight lifting and treadmill running, a mile to 1.5 at a time, and climbing the stairmaster for a mile. We bike around--I biked 9 miles on Monday going back and forth from school and 3 on Wed, but nothing yesterday because of work and I was tired. We ran 3 miles (.5 of one we walked) and Nick is pushing me to work on speed as well as endurance, agh. ;)

Mom might come visit us for a bit, maybe dad too, and I want to get some flowers for our patio. Then we are havin dinner with Nick's parents--homemade burgers, yum! Mom and Dad are going out for dinner for their anniversary, which I hope you said congrats to them about!

[12:20:01 PM] Troy Symington: Ummmm... we're in a dorm. Two bunk beds so it fits six people total. But by some stroke of luck we're the only ones in the room! The bathrooms and showers are downstairs, and this hostel is weird and makes you take off your shoes before you go to your room.

Not very cold at all! And the valley we're in has hardly any snow. It's a big carved out glacier valley with sheer cliffs. It's very much like yosemite. And out of our hostel window we can see Jungfrau, the highest point of the alps!

As far as I've seen there have been 0 mosquitos (I think it might be a little too cold). It got a lot colder once the sun set. Tomorrow we're going to go hiking around for most of the day. That's more or less the entiretly of our plans, because the trains around here are SO FREAKING EXPENSIVE!!!

We met some girls from Texas on the train to Interlaken and ran in to them later in the day and walked with them for a bit, but their hostel is back down in Interlaken so we're not sure if we'll see them again.

Yup. This entire place is marketed towards adreneline junkies. The only things to do in these towns is skiing, skydiving, hiking, base jumping, mountain biking, ect. So there's absolutely no nightlife. We're getting up early to enjoy the sunshine!
