Subject: I'm in freaking Italy!!! Katie Katie Katie!!! I'm in freaking Italy!!! I just Skyped mom and dad and I'll facebook you and post pictures soon! Love ya! *** Subject: Re: I'm in freaking Italy!!! HOLY TOLEDO YOU'RE IN FREAKING ITALY! How is it? What does it look like? Are people speaking Italian? How was the flight? How's your apartment? Who are you living with again? I'm so happy you got there safely, have an awesome time, get some sleep, and I can't WAIT to see pictures and updates!!!!! LOVE YOU! *** Subject: RE: I'm in freaking Italy!!! Hey! It's 7:30 AM here and I just woke up! Yesterday when we arrived all of our teachers and coordinators were outside of the airport terminal because we were supposed to be arriving on the same flight as the group flight... the only problem was that someone on the group flight out of San Francisco had a heart attack and they had to make an emergency landing! So they didn't get here until late last night and we still haven't seen them (although Alec and I have plans to meet up with Anna and Allison this morning). Anywho, when we arrived they got us a taxi to the Accent center where they gave us keys and directions to our apartment. It's about a 15 minute walk away from the center and two of our roommates were already here (hungover and sleeping... but when they woke up they seemed like good guys). Alec and I went out last night with a few Accent people we met at the airport and had some really bad Italian food and some somewhat decent wine. It was about 10:30 when we got back and our other two roommates were here and already asleep so we haven't met them yet. Today, the housing coordinator is supposed to show up at our apartment at 8:30 to tell us the rules and how the appliances work, then we have orientation at 2 and we're meeting on the front steps of the Duomo (which I already saw up close last night, it's so fantastic)! *** Subject: RE: I'm in freaking Italy!!! Hey, it's almost eleven and I'm about to go to sleep! ^_- But I am sooo happy to get an email from you! I had a busy day today of teaching and after-school care. The kids were pretty good today but I was so exhausted when I came home! Nick was awesome, he made dinner for us so I just had to sit at the table and keep him company while he was making stir-fry noodles and miso soup! Mmm. Then he got me to play Lord of the Rings MMO game. My name is Arriyana and I am a minstrel elf. Wheee! I'm also really glad that you guys have wifi! Is it part of your apartment or did the other two guys purchase it? I totally expect a gazillion emails and updates and pictures now, no excuses! I will get Skype soon and hopefully you can take your computer around and show me your apartment. I miss you, and I try not to think about how long you will be gone because I have never ever been without my little brother for so long, and it makes my chest get all tight and sad. I also know that the time is going to fly by, so you make the most of it! And most important of all . . . Document, and take pictures! Have a wonderful day buddy! I love you! Facebook Chat: |
